E-Learning vs Snow Days

Blog 6

With the implementation of e-learning days this year in our school corporation, we have missed more days than what we would have if we didn’t have E-Learning. We used a hybrid of E-learning and built in snow days, that means we used both. we have a week of snow days built in, and after that we used E-learning, this seemed logical and it was for the most par

The concept of E-learning should of be better, we have to have homework in every class, even in classes we wouldn’t usually have homework in. Its really hard to do homework in every class for multiple days that we have E-learning. So my proposal is if its two days or more, have a block schedule for E-learning. I want there to be Block schedules for regular school days too but thats for another discussion on another blog

Top Ten Tips for Incoming Freshman

Blog 3

  1. NO SEX AT SCHOOL, I don’t want to walk into the bathroom, trying to take a leak, and hear moans coming from the stall behind me. If you do this I will make it very awkward for you two, by making a conversation or some other stuff that would make it very uncomfortable.
  2. NO VAPING AT SCHOOL, I don’t want to walk into the bathroom and walk into a cloud of peaches or Froot Loops. If you do vape, I will take your vape and flush it down the toilet. It’s not like you will fight back because anyone who vapes is a beta male.
  3. Fighting is secretly allowed, if you’re pissed off at someone and feel the urge to get fight, don’t do it in plain sight like an idiot. Do it in the bathroom or in the parking lot. Whoever fights in the halls aren’t trying to fight they are just dancing around like a wimp, or just trying to make a scene. If you do end up fighting in the bathroom, anyone who goes it will stop what there doing and start placing bets. By the way, during bathroom fights, cellphones are prohibited.
  4. Don’t try to impress anyone or care what they thing, If everybody thinks about themselves as much as you think about yourself, then they have little time to agonize over you or your outfit or your tweets or your romantic life. They’re too concerned with themselves
  5. Don’t block the hallways, It’s annoying as hell. Talk during lunch. Go to class. Also you have phones, you most likely will be able to text during class, if you have a significant, walk them to class and you go to class.
  6. NO MAKING OUT IN THE HALLWAYS, Save it for after school, no one wants you watch you try to eat your significant others face, and please don’t stick your tongue down there throats, thats just worse, only thing that should be allowed for PDA is hand holding and hugs, be romantic not sexual.
  7. Take advantage of summer school, even if you don’t need it, you can get a semesters worth of credit in 2 weeks, and a years worth of a class in 4 weeks. its so worth it, especially for any and all math classes and especially Government, the teacher is not that good, so take it during summer school and you’ll never have to deal with the teacher or the class again.
  8. If you have a chance take dual credit, even if you don’t think its what you need for what you’re going for in college, TAKE IT. you’ll save $400 for a elective or a mandatory class.
  9. Find good friends, Find friends that will stand the test of time by your side. Don’t have friends that do drugs or pressure you to do illegal stuff. Find friends that have the same interest as you, and if that interest is drugs, make sure to get arrested with them so maybe theres a chance you’ll be in the same jail cell as them.
  10. Don’t try to find love while in high school. Don’t cheat EVER, and if you happen to stumble across someone you want to date, have fun, don’t be too serious, more than likely it won’t work out, while in high school, don’t date for marriage, but that definitely doesn’t mean you cheat on them or jump around from person to person, be a decent human being, don’t go looking for a significant other, more than likely they haven came along or they’re already there you just don’t know it yet. Don’t rush into anything and just go with the flow.

Is It a Sport?

Blog 2

Sports by definition, an activity involving physical exertion and skill in which an individual or team competes against another or others for entertainment. But does that actually apply to every activity? Some say yes others (like myself say no).

Sports. Not very hard to know what a sport looks like. What’s an example? Basketball, Football, Soccer, Lacrosse, but how about Show Choir? or even Competitive Dance?

At my high school, its mandatory to take one year of gym, unless you’re in a sport, in that case you get credit for that semester. Seems fair and reasonable, but a lot of athletic kids love having gym as a class because they get to be active and play sports for an hour in the day. My school has decided to allow Varsity singer, which is an advanced choir class and they go to competitions and stuff, to be allowed to be considered a sport, they have even gone one step further and allowed every choir class to be considered a sport, ie; 4 choirs, even the beginning choir class. So they are all allowed to have credit for gym but since they are considered all year around sport, they never have to take gym. Not one varsity singer this year, took gym.

VARSITY SINGERS OR ANYTHING CLOSE TO THAT IS NOT A SPORT!

Green New Deal (The Cost)

Blog 8

The Cost of the Green New Deal between 2020-2029 would be horrendous. It would cost more than the wall being built 492 times. Thats also 4 times more than our national budget.

According to the American Action Forum says that the Cost will be around $12.3 trillion, but according to Factcheck.org the cost is about $93 trillion, thats unfathomable. if we put all of our resources and money into this project it would take 31 years. You might think thats reasonable, if you do you’re an idiot! That is physically imposable to put in all of our resources and money into one project, especially for that long. So if we did do it, it would take around 155 years, and thats if we put our military budget into that, which is our largest budget in our nation.

Who would ever think this was a good idea. By the way if we’re talking about cost, the Green New Deal wants to reinfrastructure the whole country, which means shutting down cities and states at a time to do so just to complete the task in less than 155 years. which means slowing down the flow of money and shutting down businesses and if those businesses just happen to be supplying the materials that means even more money because they have to buy the goods from overseas which is very expensive.

This Deal is flawed in every way possible, there is no way this would work, it would completely destroy America. This is so stupid and idiotic and anyone who supports it is stupid and idiotic too.

Fail of the Green New Deal

Blog 9

The Senate failed to move forward with Democrats’ “Green New Deal,” but the partisan clash over the controversial environmental plan is likely to be a continuing theme ahead of the 2020 election.

The measure needed 60 votes to advance but was blocked when all Senate Republicans and four Senate Democrats opposed it. The rest of the chamber’s Democrats voted “present.”

The New Deal failed 0-57. Not one Democrat voted for it. That just shows you that democrats don’t even approve of there own devices. Multiple Democrat Senators advocated and supported it, but voted present. Which means they’re there so they can get paid but didn’t want to vote.

Ahead of the vote, McConnell tweeted, “The American people will see which of their senators can do the common-sense thing and vote ‘no’ on this destructive socialist daydream.” The vote also set up Democrats to go on the record about the Green New Deal ahead of 2020 elections, essentially catching them in the act of supporting what McConnell called “a destructive socialist daydream.”

The Green New Deal

Blog 7

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez has proposed a bill to the House of Representatives, to combat “climate change.” She wants this to be done by 2030 – 2050.

One part of the New Deal is the overhauling transportation systems in the United States to remove pollution and greenhouse gas emissions from the transportation sector as much as is technologically feasible, including through investment in—

(i) zero-emission vehicle infrastructure and manufacturing;

(ii) clean, affordable, and accessible public transit; and

(iii) high-speed rail;

This is is crazy stupid, this is an opinion but heres why this is idiotic to me. She wants zero-emission vehicle infrastructure and manufacturing in 10-30 years. In the US, 276.1 million vehicles were registered and out of that 276.1 million, 760,000 cars were electric. That means .3% of all cars in the US were electric. So in 10 years the government expects the citizens to sell 99.7% of their cars for expensive electric cars. The US citizen can not afford to buy another car, 57% of adults have less than $1,000 in their name. The average electric car cost range from $26,000 – $60,000.

Cortez also wants to create a high-speed railroad system, throughout the US. She says this will take away the need for airlines. What about Hawaii or Alaska? Is she going to build a railroad through the Pacific Ocean to get to Hawaii, or build one through Canada? I don’t want to pay for that with my money!

Superbowl LIII (53)

New England Patriots vs Los Angeles Rams

New England 13 – 3 Los Angeles

Super Bowl LIII was an American football game between the American Football Conference (AFC) champion New England Patriots and the National Football Conference (NFC) champion Los Angeles Rams to determine the champion of the National Football League (NFL) for the 2018 season. The Patriots defeated the Rams by the score of 13–3, tying the Pittsburgh Steelersfor the most Super Bowl championships with six. The game was played on February 3, 2019, at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, Georgia, the first time the Super Bowl had been played at that stadium. It was a rematch of Super Bowl XXXVI, in which the Patriots, led by second-year head coach Bill Belichick and quarterback Tom Brady, defeated the Rams, who played in St. Louis at the time, 20–17, and won their first Super Bowl. This was the third Super Bowl in Atlanta, which previously hosted Super Bowl XXVIII in 1994 and Super Bowl XXXIV in 2000 at the Georgia Dome.

Welcome Blog

Blog #1

Thanks for joining me!

This is my first ever blog and I plan on doing better as the semester goes on.

Some interesting facts about me. My name is Drew Kreiger, I’m a senior at Huntington North High School in Huntington County, Indiana. I play tennis for the High School and I do lots of things within the community. I have a pretty crappy job but it pays well so I don’t complain and I’m searching for another job that pays well. So if you know any jobs near Huntington, Indiana please let me know. This blog will consist of my opinions on various things, including but not limited to; Political Issues, History, School Issues, National Security Issues, and some other things I’m passionate about.

I will try to post my blogs before 12pm ET, but since I’m in school I might get backed up and forget. If you have any recommendations on how to make my blog better please contact me, I’ll respond to you with in a day and we can have civil discussions on how to make my blog better or any questions and concerns you have for me. Even if you are inconsiderate and rude, I will still show you the up most respect and I will still respond and talk to you. We might have different view points on some if not most of the topics I’ll cover than just contact me and we can talk and/or debate.

Since this is for a class, I don’t know how often I will blog, it’ll depend on the teacher but if I find it enjoyable I might start doing this on my free time so if all goes well I might post something everyday or at least once every two days. For now expect one every week or two.
